BRANDING A KILLER ROMANCE WRITER

Lori Matthews writes killer romance. Colourphill was asked to develop this award-winning crime-romance writer’s personal brand and website.

First, we designed a logotype of the author’s name replacing the letters “t” with daggers – commonly-used weapons in murder mysteries. Second, we developed an author website that relayed the mystic, romance and delicious luxury of a good murder-mystery spiced with romance. Peonies, the author’s favourite flower (and representative of romance), were featured on the site. Matthews also wanted to entertain and educate her audience about love and murder, so we included a “For Readers” page with quotes, stats and fun facts.
